The Everest Awards are considered the Oscars of the Outdoors recognizing the top athletes of the year. Winning "An Everest" is one of the greatest achievements in all of climate sports. Nominations were submitted by the public on line and selected by an editorial committee.
JACK KELLY FAIR PLAY AWARD Awarded the USOC Jack Kelly Fair Play award in 1996 for Outstanding Sportsmanship.He donated the boat he paddled to an Olympic berth to a Bosnian paddler who damaged his kayak and otherwise would not have been able to compete in the Olympics. |
